RUBECK REPEATS AT ROCKFORD SPRING CLASSIC

Sunday, April 15, 2007 (Loves Park, IL) – Steve Rubeck’s weekend was off to a rough start. After he and his crew spent most of the night replacing his whole brake system, he returned to capture his second straight Wisconsin Challenge Series Spring Classic feature at the Rockford Speedway.

Andy Monday and Mark Eswein led the field to the start of the 150-lap main event. Monday jumped out to the early lead.

Monday led all the way through the first 75-laps, but there was plenty of action behind him. ....More

30TH ANNUAL SPRING CLASSIC IS AROUND THE CORNER!

ROCKFORD, IL. - Monday, March 12, 2007 - With the temperature reaching nearly 60 degrees today, it reminded the Rockford Speedway staff that the racing season is right around the corner.  The first major event during the 60th Anniversary season at the Rockford Speedway is the 30th Annual Spring Classic on April 14-15th.

“I went outside without my coat on and said to myself, this is a perfect day to release the Spring Classic schedule,” Gregg McKarns, Rockford Speedway General Manager stated.  “All I ask for is just a few more degrees and we will have the perfect weather to go along with the great racing we will see that weekend.”

This year, the Wisconsin Challenge Series will make its second return to the quarter-mile high banked oval along with the Mid-American Series and the Big 8 Series.....

WISCONSIN CHALLENGE SERIES PUTS WRAPS ON RECORD YEAR AT BANQUET!

APPLETON, WI. (November 25, 2006) - The Wisconsin Challenge Series presented by Simply Wow, made it's formal conclusion to a very successful racing season as a record point fund was distributed to eligible teams.  Nathan Haseleu of Pardeeville was able to repeat as the series champion taking the title for the season straight year, based on the strength of a four race win streak in the middle of the season. 

The series, which completed it's six year of existence continued to provide one of the most competitive and cost effective Super Late Model series around. This past season nearly $250,000 worth of prize money was distributed including record banquet awards approaching $25,000.  During the year the series averaged 48 cars per event, a substantial increase over 2005.   At three events, the field swelled to over 60 competitors including a series record 71 entries at the Milwaukee Mile, when WCS made it's first appearance at the Legendary one-mile oval.  The 71 participants established an all time record for any class in the 100 plus year history of the raceway....More.
